Terms
These terms cover the public MOV website and downloadable local software. Any paid implementation or verification work is separately scoped and agreed before billing.
1. What MOV is
Machine Outcome Verification provides a buyer-owned Runtime Acceptance layer for paid agent services. MOV evaluates supplied transaction, request, delivery and evidence inputs against a precommitted acceptance contract and returns ACCEPT, REJECT or UNKNOWN.
MOV is not a payment processor, wallet, custodian, escrow service, merchant-of-record service or guarantee that an external provider will perform correctly.
2. Local software license
The downloadable MOV software is licensed separately under the terms identified on the Software License page and in the release package. The software license controls your right to copy, modify, use or distribute the software.
Using the website does not grant additional software, trademark or branding rights.
3. Buyer-owned acceptance
You are responsible for defining the acceptance rules appropriate to your workflow, obtaining evidence you are entitled to use, and deciding what downstream action should follow each MOV decision. Payment success, HTTP success, schema validity or a merchant assertion does not by itself establish buyer acceptance.
UNKNOWN is an expected fail-closed state when required evidence is missing, contradictory, unavailable, corrupt or non-final.
4. Paid work
The current public software is free to download. Paid work, when offered, is scoped one real flow at a time. No subscription, recurring charge or paid engagement is created merely by using the website or downloading MOV.
Before a paid engagement, the parties must explicitly agree the scope, price, currency, tax handling where applicable, and the contracting/billing details. An invoice or payment request must correspond to that agreed scope.
5. Free software and website availability
The public website and free local software are provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is given that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for every workflow, or that external evidence sources and paid providers will remain available or correct.
For separately paid work, any additional commitments are those expressly agreed for that engagement.
6. Liability boundary
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MOV is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from third-party services, payment rails, provider content, evidence sources, or downstream actions that a user chooses to take. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Any liability terms specifically agreed for paid work take precedence for that engagement.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the website or MOV software unlawfully, attempt to interfere with the public service, misrepresent MOV decisions, remove required license notices, or use MOV in a way that exceeds the software license.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated as the product or commercial model changes. The effective date above identifies the version published for future use. Material changes will not silently rewrite a separately signed paid scope.
9. Governing law and contact
These website terms are governed by Swedish law, subject to any mandatory law that applies. Machine Outcome Verification is operated by Sarmad Tawfeek in Sweden. Contact sarmad@machineoutcome.com.
